MY SELF-PORTRAIT

Well, here’s my attempt at a self-portrait in acrylic.  I’ve drawn a couple of them before, but this is my first attempt at painting one.  The first thing I’ll say is that I need to go back and add some more wrinkles, lol.  I’m laughing but it’s true.

I had to take a picture of the painting because it’s a 12″ by 18″, which is larger than what I normally paint or draw.  Because of that, the color is a little bit off and I computer–manipulated the color a little bit and then more.  Here are the slightly doctored and the more doctored versions below.

WEEKEND ARTIST :)

I can’t write a darned thing lately, but I’ve been drawing and painting like crazy.  Below are two paintings that I did yesterday.  I could spend all day painting if I had the time.  But I do miss my writing.  Maybe some inspiration will come to me soon.  If not, I’ll have to go looking for it.  :)

ANOTHER NEW DRAWING! :)

I’m having so much fun with my drawing lately.  I haven’t been able to write a thing, but I’ve been drawing like crazy during my Christmas vacation, most of it within the past few days.  Here’s the oil pastel I drew today:

NEW JESTERETTES

From a photocopy of the original drawing, I completed a graphite and charcoal drawing of  The Jesterette.  I also took the original drawing and painted it using watercolors.  The results of both are below:

I love how a drawing can look so very different depending on what medium you use.
