I still have the theme of sunshine and yellow in my mind, even though I still haven’t finished that poem. And I’ve done another piece of artwork with that same theme in mind.

THE SUNNY YELLOW POEM THAT WASN’T :)
Below is my most recent painting. I did it today while trying to write a poem about the color yellow. I finished the painting, but I’m still working on the poem. 
The painting is an 8″x10″ acrylic on canvas. I already see things about it that I’d like to change and I just may go back and do it later.

REFLECTIVE ARTWORK
My mother died on Valentine’s Day and this is always a sad time of the year for me. I tried and tried yesterday to draw something or even to write and nothing would come out. So today, I tried to draw again and the result is below. The drawing looks nothing like me at all; it’s just representing a feeling. It was done in pastel pencil and pastel on 9×12″ pastel paper.
