I used to have really long hair when I was young and even though I’ve worn my hair short for at least the past ten years, lately I’ve been having thoughts about growing it long again. I probably won’t, but as my most recent graphite pencil drawing demonstrates, I’m wishing I could.

I’ve been having so much trouble trying to write lately, but my painting has been non-stop. Below is the painting I did today. It’s acrylic and Pigma pen on 8″x10″ canvas.
I hope I can start writing again soon; I’ve only written two poems since November and zero flash stories. 
I think Nanowrimo might have burned me out; I’m not sure.
Below is my most recent painting, an 8″ x10″ acrylic on canvas which I’ve titled “Basil.” Don’t ask me why because I have no idea; I’ve never known a dog named Basil, I just think it’s a cool name.
